Hall senior swings scholarship Lyon

Hall senior swings scholarship Lyon

Hall High Senior Ashtone Dixon will sign with Lyon College, a liberal arts college in Batesville, Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 10:30 a.m.  The signing will take place in the library at Hall High.  Lyon College coach Abigail Smith will visit the school to personally offer Dixon the scholarship.

In a statement to the NCSA Athletic Recruiting website, Dixon said, "Playing golf for over 8 years had greatly influenced my outlook on life. Through my development of creating new friendships and other networking aspects of the sport, I have only grown more positive towards people I have never met. Characteristics such as these help me everyday like when meeting new young ladies through my community based project, meeting college recruiters, and even in my success as a 2012 Girl's State Delegate. With my big picture of majoring in International Business, it seems only right for an athlete like myself to be playing golf. "
