MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers will start releasing water tomorrow from the spillway of Norfork Dam while a powerhouse turbine is out of service for maintenance. About 6,000 cubic feet per second will be released, half through spillway releases and the other half through turbine releases. These combined releases are equal to two full units of power generation.
One turbine is currently out of operation for maintenance and is expected to be back in service by mid-April. This is not related to ongoing construction to implement White River Minimum Flows.
