LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV)--It's a second chance for former criminals, after being convicted of various crimes, some serving time behind bars, more than 100 men and women are now returning to communities across Central Arkansas, and to the workforce. The central Arkansas Re-entry coalition sponsored a resource fair to help them.
The resource fair included businesses looking for employees, as well as booths, helping people go back to school and further their education. It started at 9 Monday morning and organizers say more than a hundred people came out.
"You know it's really easy to feel like, when you get out of jail, that there is nothing left for you to do so it's really helpful that people put an effort in to inspire hope." Inspire hope by offering help. Finding a job is difficult in today's economy especially for those who are just out of jail or prison.
