Sun Belt announces 2013 baseball/softball TV schedule | News
NEW ORLEANS, La. (SUN BELT) - The Sun Belt Conference announced the 2013 Sun Belt Network baseball and softball television schedule on Wednesday.
South Alabama will host Western Kentucky on April 20 in the first of the six broadcasts scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
The following week, the Jaguars will visit Louisiana-Monroe, last year's tournament champion, at 3 p.m. CT.
FIU will travel to Troy on May 4 at 3 p.m. CT.
On May 11, the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship will be televised, live at for 3 p.m. CT from Troy University. Last year, USA defeated Louisiana-Lafayette to advance to the NCAA tournament for the first time in its program's history.
This season, the Ragin' Cajuns began the 2013 campaign ranked 10th in the country and will look to get back to the title game in Troy.
The remaining two SBC baseball contests resume on May 19 with an in-state match-up with Arkansas State hosting UALR. ASU faced ULM in the 2012 tournament championship in Bowling Green, falling to the Warhawks. UALR was the 2011 tournament champion.
The final SBC baseball broadcast of 2013 will be the SBC Championship which is hosted by Louisiana-Lafayette at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field. The game is schedule for a 1 p.m. CT.
The 2013 SBC regular season begins Friday, February 15, with conference play set to begin Friday, March 15. The SBC Tournament will be played at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field in Lafayette, La., May 22-26.
