LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Taco Bell/KFC restaurant on W. Markham in Little Rock was robbed at gunpoint.
Police said they got a call just after 8 p.m. about a robbery in progress. When they arrived they spoke to the manager who said three armed men walked inside and made the manager open the safe.
After the suspects took some money out of the safe, they robbed several customers eating inside the restaurant then made them all get on the ground.
The suspects were wearing dark colored clothing with bandannas over their faces. Police searched the area without finding anything. Fingerprints were taken by crime-scene techs and statements were taken.
"There are some similarities in our narratives of what actually happened. Our detectives are working that angle to determine if any of these robberies are related," Sgt. Cassandra Davis said of this case and several others that happened the city over the past weekend.
Police said they are stepping up extra patrols and will be placing their SkyWatch towers in areas with large crowds.
Sgt. Davis said people should just be more alert and cautious this time of year with holiday shopping.
