Arkansas Foodbank is awarded $165,660 to help end hunger

Little Rock, Ark. (KTHV) - The Arkansas Foodbank has been awarded $165,660 by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation to develop the Local Partner Development Initiative. The LPDI will focus on impowering communitites in finding solutions to help end hunger in children, families, and seniors in the areas of Dermott, Eudora, and Lake Village.


The Arkansas Foodbank will use the grant to help support the initiative. It will also be providing small startup grants for the communities involved. The Arkansas Foodbank has been focused on serving the hungry since founded in 1984 and serves Arkansas with nearly 300 member partners, pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other organizations that support the same cause.
