Update: Human remains believed to be male

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A woman walking along a trail in Little Rock Wednesday afternoon discovered human remains.

Police say she found them about a quarter mile off the roadway, near Fourche Dam Pike. Detectives are investigating; according to Pulaski County coroner Garland Camper, the remains is a male and he was possibly homeless. Police believe this because he was wearing several layers of clothing.

Investigators will begin going over all missing persons reports, and speaking with family members, in an effort to identify the remains. They were taken to the medical examiner's office to determine cause of death.
