9/11 Widow reacts to Osama bin Laden death

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- One Little Rock woman who lost her husband in the attacks watched Sunday night as the news broke world-wide.

Deena Burnett Bailey's husband Tom died in the attacks. He was on board United flight 93 when it went down in a Pennsylvania field.

"I really just had to let it sink in," says Bailey. "I was so surprised."

She says she was initially happy. After that, her emotions were mixed.

"When I realized I was happy that they had found Osama bin Laden, I felt very, very guilty thinking about being happy that he was dead," says Bailey. "And I thought about myself as really not being any better than the Islamic extremists who celebrated having killed all the American citizens on September 11."

Flooding continues Monday in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Rising flood waters and more rain continue to plague Arkansas.

Stephen Hawks with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Department says all the low-lying areas around Lake Conway are flooding. That's from Mayflower to south of Vilonia. It is not a mandatory evacuation but they are encouraging everyone who lives in those areas to pack up and get out.

The Faulkner County S.P.C.A. is need of supplies for their rescued animals. "Rescue pets are not being moved from the Don Owens Sports Complex. However, they are in need of dry bedding for the animals and cedar chips for horses. Also, the roof on the complex is damaged and tarps are needed."

Prairie County authorities have issued an evacuation notice for residents in the flood prone areas east of the White River in the Des Arc and Biscoe Areas. The roads in the area will soon be impassable due to flooding.
